How Therapist Alex Jordan Built a Client-Friendly Website Using a Hold Space Creative Template

Building a website for your practice can be a real challenge. You want it to feel personal and professional while keeping things simple. For mental health professionals who aren't trained in marketing or design, creating a site that connects with clients can seem like an impossible task.

That’s why I’m excited to share Alex Jordan’s experience using a Hold Space Creative Squarespace template. Alex, like many of us, wanted a website that felt inviting, reflected her unique approach, and was easy to build without compromising on quality. In this interview, Alex talks about why she chose this template and how it helped her overcome the hurdles of web design, allowing her to focus on what truly matters - helping clients feel understood and supported from the moment they land on the site.

What do you love about the work that you do? I love the work that I do because it offers an opportunity to support clients in their personal growth and healing. I have always believed we already possess the potential for meaningful change, sometimes we just need support and encouragement along the way. Helping clients navigate their struggles, build resilience, and achieve their goals is really rewarding. Witnessing therapy helping clients find clarity, develop new perspectives, and move towards a more fulfilling life makes the work feel purposeful. It means a lot that clients trust me to foster hope and help empower them to lead happier, healthier lives.

Which Hold Space Creative template did you purchase?

The Amor template

Why did you choose this template?

It provided a modern feel that was different from other websites I had seen before. It fit my aesthetic well. The clean-cut vibe was the perfect combination of attractive and efficient.

What prompted you to choose our templates over others?

I thought the design was unique, I felt it provided the perfect outline for the vision I had for my website. Therapy can feel intimidating, but it shouldn't be complex. I wanted to make sure the website highlighted the idea - reaching out for help is a brave step, I can support you from here.

How did you feel about your previous website or the website-building process BEFORE purchasing a template from Hold Space Creative?

This was my first time doing it through SquareSpace! I designed a website for a different industry years ago through another service, and thought SquareSpace was incredibly user-friendly. To have the design shell ready to go felt like the easiest way to start with a good foundation, and build from there.

How do you feel now that you've published your new website?

I absolutely love it. It fits my professional needs and turned out exactly how I envisioned.

How would you describe the process of using a Hold Space Creative template (from purchase to publish)?

It was very straightforward. I also bought the Copy bundle, and that helped a lot with the part I was most concerned about - how to nail my wording. I had a few hiccups, but support was quick and things were easily resolved. The process was very simple and the information provided was comprehensive!

What do you hope your new website does for you and your private practice?

I hope it creates a sense of comfort for my clients. I wanted a landing space where individuals, couples, or families who were looking for clinical support could visit and think - it feels like this counselor understands.
