Your name, pronouns + credentials: Lindsay Bryan-Podvin (she/her), LMSW, Financial Therapist

Website URL: www.mindmoneybalance.com

Where in the world are you located? I live on the occupied land of the Anishinaabe, also known as Michigan.

What do you love about the work that you do? As a financial therapist focusing on interactive financial wellness workshops and facilitation, I love it when there is a communal and reciprocal head nod of validation among audience members. We all experience a range of emotions about money, so collectively experiencing proof that we aren't weird, strange, or different creates a powerful sense of understanding. I love the energetic reciprocity that comes from a room full of people reflecting on their financial experiences together.

Which Hold Space Creative template did you purchase?

The Lonnie!

Why did you choose this template?

The Lonnie template spoke to my desire to showcase my personality and qualifications in a way that feels both professional and energizing. I loved how bold and bright the template was, and how it gave me permission to lean into a more playful and dynamic side of my work. I hope that being more unapologetic on my website sets the tone for potential clients to be unapologetic when addressing the emotional side of money.

To me, the Lonnie template embraced what we gain when we lean into joy. I thought the Lonnie template was a great parallel to my financial therapy work: I differentiate myself from other financial experts who focus on what people need to do less of (spend less on lattes, going out to eat, or travel), while I focus on what a person gains from engaging with their money (more peace, clarity, and delight).

What prompted you to choose our templates over others?

I'm lucky that I purchased a Hold Space Creative (HSC) template in the past (the Andrea) that worked well for me when I was focusing on clinical financial therapy work. The customization of the Andrea template offered a soothing first impression. Knowing that Monica designs her templates with therapists and coaches in mind reassured me that the website would create a welcoming and inviting virtual presence for potential clients right from the start. I also knew that the HSC customer service team's white-glove service--like personalized tutorial videos--mattered as I transferred from one template to another.

How did you feel about your previous website or the website-building process BEFORE purchasing a template from Hold Space Creative?

N/A my last website was from HSC! Here's what I said when I made the initial switch from trying to DIY a Squarespace website to the Andrea template: A template reframe was like self-care for my business.

How do you feel now that you've published your new website?

I feel SO good! This updated website reflects my message to help folks amplify money for good through dynamic speaking engagements and aligned brand partnerships.

How would you describe the process of using a Hold Space Creative template (from purchase to publish)?

From purchase to publish, I felt supported, cared for, and thought of. In addition to purchasing the Lonnie template and watching the Lonnie template tutorial videos, I hired HSC for tech support to help me transition from one domain and template to another. Having the HSC tech team ensure that the backend was handled meant I got to focus on the fun parts of the template, like choosing what stickers to add to different pages!

What do you hope your new website does for you and your private practice?

I hope it quickly communicates who I am (a financial therapist), what I do (financial wellness workshop facilitator and brand partner), and how I can help (by providing financial wellness facilitation or organic content for aligned brand partners), all while illustrating that my approach to financial wellness is bright, fun, and engaging!

Have you noticed any measurable changes since purchasing your HSC website template? If so, please share your data!

  • Within a few days of publishing my new site, I had a really good problem; I got too many inquiries through the updated "Contact" page! With HSC’s support, I tweaked the contact page to include FAQs, which helped address common questions before potential clients submitted the form to me.

  • My inbound Speaking/Partnership requests from my website increased 267%!

    • Requests before site upgrade: ~.75/month

    • Requests after upgrading with the Lonnie template: ~2.75/month

  • Also, my Speaking page made it into my top 5 pages visited for the first time, and has been in the top 5 for 3 of the past 5 months!
