Soft, Calming Squarespace Website for a Virtual Therapy Practice
CéShaun Hankins, LCSW is the owner of Cypher Mental Health, a virtual private practice providing services to clients in both Oregon and California. She used the Sage template to upgrade her existing Squarespace website and create a calming, polished virtual space for her current and future clients.
Meet CéShaun:
Your name, pronouns + credentials: CéShaun Hankins, LCSW (she/her)
Website URL: www.cyphermentalhealth.com
Where in the world are you located? I reside on the traditional and ancestral homeland of the Cowlitz and Clackamas peoples also known as Portland, Oregon.
Who do you work with?
Cypher Mental Health supports Black and Brown folks and parents struggling with challenges related to anxiety, chronic stress, and trauma. Currently, I offer EMDR and mindfulness-focused therapies and continuously work to decolonize and be anti-oppressive in my own practice through ongoing learning, community building, and the use of liberatory healing frameworks.
Before purchasing a Hold Space Creative template, CéShaun had built herself a website on Squarespace, but had this to say about DIYing:
“I thought, ‘I don’t need a template, I can do this on my own!’ … But the problem with that was that I really bumped up against my own limitations. [My previous website] didn’t have that level of ‘umph’ and polished feel that I was really looking for.”
Watch the video below to hear from CéShaun about her experience of using the Sage template to build her own therapy website on Squarespace!
I personally love how CéShaun made small tweaks to the original design (such as updating the color palette and removing the image outlines) to create a polished, professional look all her own. Her site maintains the spacious, minimalist elegance of the Sage template while portraying the unique way she holds space for her clients.
