Therapist Website Feature: Live Happy Counseling
One of the things I love most about my work as a website designer for therapists is getting to see how you all adapt my Squarespace website templates and make them your own. In this post, we’ll be featuring one of our Andrea website customers, Michelle Valdner. Michelle is a therapist in New York and used the Andrea site to create a virtual home for her practice, Live Happy Counseling.
What we love most about Michelle’s site is the way that she customized the Andrea template to allow her personality and energy to shine through! Her bright color palette and warm, inviting photos make us feel happy - true to her practice’s name! Remember, potential clients want to get to know you through your website, and we think Michelle did a great job of using design to communicate her personality and therapeutic style.

What do you love about the work that you do? First of all, I can't believe I get paid to do this work, I find it so fulfilling and purposeful. I have gratitude for my clients who trust me to be part of their lives and their ability to show up and be so vulnerable motivates me to continue doing this work. I also love that it's challenging. No two people are the same and learning about who a person is, understanding their situation, their past, what they fear, what they hope to achieve, and seeing their progress lights me up.
Which Hold Space Creative template did you purchase? The Andrea Template
Why did you choose this template? I chose the Andrea Template after taking the quiz Monica has on her website. I also loved the design of this template.
What prompted you to choose my templates over others? I first learned about Monica and Hold Space Creative, when she presented in a coaching program that I was part of. I love the fact that Monica was a therapist herself and understood what we therapists need and want for our websites. I developed trust in Monica after I heard her speak and I felt connected to her values and mission.
How did you feel about your previous website or the website building process before purchasing a template from Hold Space Creative? I was completely overwhelmed. I had a landing page set up by someone I knew and it did what it needed to do, but it was lacking the functionality of an actual website. I was intimated when looking into my options for website building and felt lost before coming across Monica's work.
How do you feel now that you've published your new website? I feel so much relief and happiness now that I've published my website. It functions exactly as I want it to and I receive the nicest compliments about my site!
How would you describe the process of using a Hold Space Creative template (from purchase to publish)? I feel so grateful for having been connected to Monica and Hold Space Creative. The process of using my template from purchase to publish was seamless and I was supported every step of the way. I was a newbie to website building and the template was very beginner/user-friendly. Monica and her team were also available for ALL of my questions (I had a lot). I always felt supported even months after I made the purchase. I also invested in her SEO workshops and I received so much value from them!
What do you hope your new website does for you and your private practice? I wanted my new website to bring in potential clients and make the process of beginning therapy seamless (from initially reaching out to having our first session). My new website does this and more! It helps potential clients gain insight into what it would be like to work with me, it makes it easy for potential clients to reach out for consultations and gives them information about my practice so they can make an informed decision about working together.
Is there anything else you'd like to add? Monica gets it. She understands the wants and needs of therapists and her templates show that. I also found her templates to be extremely affordable and the added ongoing support has been invaluable.
