Luxury Squarespace Website for a Vegan Wedding Cake Studio
If you’ve been following Hold Space Creative for a while, you might remember our friend Christina Willis from our Pinterest for Therapists workshop! Christina is a multi-passionate creative entrepreneur, having spent time as a brand designer and Pinterest expert in addition to her career as a Registered Nurse.
When Christina reached out to share her newest business venture, I was smitten! She used the Folk template to create her vegan wedding cake website, and my only complaint is that I don’t live in Toronto so I can’t sample her gorgeous creations!
Read on to learn more about Christina’s experience of using the Folk template to build her wedding cake website on Squarespace!

What do you love about the work that you do?
I've used my nursing skills for nearly 20 years and blended them seamlessly into my cake design business. What I cherish the most about my work is that it allows me to express myself creatively and connect emotionally with people during significant moments in their lives.
Which Hold Space Creative template did you purchase?
Why did you choose this template?
I loved this template right away because it's easy to use, has a stylish high-end design, and is set up in a way that lets me display my unique wedding cakes just the way I envisioned.
What prompted you to choose my templates over others?
I've been following Hold Space Creative for a while and connected with Monica a few years ago on a project when I owned a Pinterest marketing agency. I've always liked Monica's content, even though I'm not a licensed therapist, and I've always admired her content and her clean and minimalist design approach.
How did you feel about your previous website or the website building process before purchasing a template from Hold Space Creative?
I've been working online for a few years as a business owner with multiple roles, and have made 3 Squarespace websites on my own. My last websites looked great, but they took a long time to complete. This time, I didn't have the time or patience to create a new website from scratch, so I wanted to buy a well-thought-out template with the design style I wanted, so I could launch with quickly and with confidence.
How do you feel now that you've published your new website?
I'm thrilled with my website! I've received lots of compliments, and it's fantastic. Now I feel proud to show it off, whereas before I was always a bit anxious about the websites I made.
How would you describe the process of using a Hold Space Creative template (from purchase to publish)?
The Folk template I purchased was not only well thought out, but it was also incredibly easy to implement. As someone well-versed in my branding (I also used to be a brand designer), I found the accompanying Branding Guide to be nothing short of brilliant. If I was not well-versed in the fundamental principles of brand design, I would have found the guide to be exceptionally well laid out & easy to understand. Overall, every aspect that came with the Folk made perfect sense and contributed to an outstanding experience for me as a customer.
What do you hope your new website does for you and your private practice?
Although I'm not a therapist, I can relate to the deep-seated desire of wanting to craft my website in a way that resonates with and draws in my ideal client, while creating a space where they feel welcomed and understood.
Have you noticed any measurable changes since purchasing your HSC website template?
My last website took me 2 months to build out myself. With the Folk template, I had my site designed in two weeks which allowed me to launch within the New Year, stress-free.
