We’re not just designing pretty websites. We’re rebranding mental healthcare.

Therapy websites are notoriously outdated and generic. Insert a picture of a sunset and a stack of rocks and call it good, right? Not so much.

When therapy-seekers see the same basic websites and vague, clinical website copy, they start to believe the suspicion that therapy is out of reach.

As a former therapist and coach, and professionally trained artist and designer, I’m here to help you present yourself in an authentic, modern way so that your services become desirable rather than stigmatized.

Monica Kovach, BFA, MA

I know how hard it is to market yourself as a therapist or coach because I used to be both.

After completing a Master's in Art Therapy and Counseling, I began working as a therapist in my home state of Michigan. After a few years, I experienced severe burnout and transitioned from therapy to virtual coaching.

Suddenly, I was a business owner, and I had to start marketing myself in order to get clients and pay the bills. To say I was out of my depth would be an understatement. I thought the degree and credentials I spent half of a decade collecting would speak for themselves. Spoiler alert: they didn’t.

I had to learn the things that we didn’t learn in grad school the hard way; how to talk about counseling and coaching in ways that people understand, how to price and package services, and how to design a website that stands out from the crowd and books clients automatically.

When my therapist friends began opening their private practices, I was flooded with website questions and design requests. I hadn’t planned to open a website design company, but my background in art and design, coupled with my intimate knowledge of the therapy and coaching world eventually made it a no-brainer for me.

If you’re struggling with the marketing side of private practice, you’re in the right place. I’ll help you design a website that you love.

our values

Everyone deserves access to high-quality mental healthcare.

Hold Space Creative was born out of a desire to change the antiquated, outdated beliefs and prescriptive system for private practice marketing, empowering therapists and therapy-seekers to connect without unnecessary barriers. At our core, we value integrity, authenticity, justice, equity, and creativity.

We stand with, fight for, and affirm the LGBTQ+ community, the Black community, people with disabilities, and all other historically marginalized groups, and we’re committed to continually challenging our own privilege and influence to make Hold Space Creative a leader of systemic change.

As such, we currently donate a portion of Hold Space Creative’s proceeds, quarterly, to organizations that uplift and empower marginalized groups, such as the Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund, The Trevor Project, and Together Rising.
